Jon Groom was born in Powys, Wales in 1953. He attended the Cardiff College of Art and Sheffield Polytechnic. In 1980 his works were acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, his first exhibition at the Art Lorenzelli dates back to 1988 in via S. Andrea. thedral, Lincoln in the UK, using a series of paintings on copper. Created over the years numerous murals and installations, in various contexts in England, Germany and France. He lives and works between Monaco e il Galles.

In 1990, on his return from a two year period passed in New York, he set up an installation at the Lincoln Cathedral of Lincoln in Great Britain, making use of a series of paintings on copper. Throughout the years, he created murals and installations in the most varied contexts in England, Germany and France.
He now lives and works between Munich and Wales.
